In numerology, your life path number is the single most influential number in your chart. Derived purely from your date of birth, it describes the road you're walking — the core lessons you came to learn and the direction that will feel most fulfilling.

How to calculate your life path number

Add every digit of your date of birth together, then keep reducing until you reach a single digit — unless you land on 11 or 22, which are kept whole as master numbers.

Example — 14/03/1992: 1+4+0+3+1+9+9+2 = 29 → 2+9 = 11 → stays 11. If instead you had reached 29 → 2+9 = 11 → 1+1 = 2 under a strict-reduction method, most numerologists would still note the 11 as a hidden influence before settling on 2.

Master number 11 — the Intuitive Illuminator

Eleven carries the sensitivity of 2 at a far higher voltage. Elevens pick up on moods, symbols and undercurrents before words are spoken. The lesson is grounding: channelling intense intuition into practical service rather than anxiety. Many counsellors, healers and teachers carry this vibration.

Master number 22 — the Master Builder

Twenty-two combines the intuition of 11 with the engineering of 4. It's the number of people who build things that outlive them — institutions, systems, communities. Its shadow is paralysis: feeling the weight of huge potential and not knowing where to start. The remedy is always the same — begin small, but begin.

"A master number isn't a badge of honour. It's a bigger engine — which means it needs better brakes."

Using your number well

  • Use it for orientation, not excuse-making — a 4 doesn't "have to" fear change forever.
  • Layer it with astrology: your life path describes direction, while your kundli describes terrain.
  • Revisit it at milestones — its lessons feel different at 25 than at 45.
